French breeding directory goes international

www.france-sire.com is a website dedicated to the French breeders and sires with daily updates and news from the breeding sheds. It also works as a directory of French stud farms.

Created by Arnaud Poirier three months ago it will open an English section from Saturday on and should help the International operators to understand a bit more of the French Racing and Industry.

Photo
On www.scoopdyga.com, you can see the photo finish and the following pictures of the national meetings only minutes after the actual race. If you want to buy pictures, you have to register (“s’inscrire”) and pay, obviously (frogsracing.com can’t afford to offer those yet !)

The French eye on most important International meetings of the year is Jean-Charles Briens, whose work is displayed and for sale on his website www.briensphoto.com.

Video
On www.chvideo.fr, you can open an account and buy videos of most races. You must log on this website (English version icon : top right of homepage) first. Once you’re done, you will be able to buy the videos from the France Galop website as there is a little icon of a film at the end of every line summing up a race when in a horse’s form.
Caution : does not work with Mac.

There are plenty of fast results services but they are all in French apart from www.zeturf.com, an offshore betting operator. For more information and a comprehensive database, log in www.paris-turf.com. It is all in French and you have to subscribe to get access to the whole database, but results, runners of national and provincial meetings are free of charge.
