The eight year old Oxo des Prés (AQ - April Night) continues to improve with age. The recent winner of the Grand Steeple-Chase Clairefontaine (L) followed up that success with a win in the €70,000 Prix Jim Crow Chase (5yos+ - 3800m), a trial race for the Grand Steeple-Chase d’Enghien (Gr2). This is a third win in a row for Oxo des Prés, but this race will also be remembered for the unfortunate demise of Moskitos d’Isigny (Useful). Patrice Quinton’s 10 year was fatally injured when slipping up on coming round the final bend.
Or Noir de Somoza (Discover d’Auteuil), made a long awaited return and looked like he will have benefitted from the run when finishing fourth.
Bred by his owner and trainer, Jean-Louis Chasserio, Oxo des Prés is out of Emberlia (Chamberlin) who was born in 1992 but only went to stud in 2001 after 37 starts and 6 wins. Oxo des Prés is her first foal and is followed by his full sister Perla des Prés, who has won twice, and also his 4 year old half brother Sonny des Prés (Limnos),who has won once.
Nuage – First success for Task Force de Sivola

Task Force Sivola (AQ - Assessor) won the €46,000 Prix Nuage Hurdle (3yo Males-3500m) by half a length from Pokerdor (Martaline). Sagakit (Sagamix) finished a further three lengths behind in third place.
This was a first success for Task Force Sivola after three unsuccessful attempts over hurdles at Auteuil and one run on the flat over 2200m at Moulins. He is out of the three time winner Kerrana (Cadoudal) who has bred two other one time winners but nothing of note to date.
