Friday 10th September 2010, Auteuil (www.jourdegalop.com) Oyeryz (Equerry) was the one to beat in the €58,000 Prix Finot Hurdle (L-Unraced 3yo Fillies-3600m) and she did not disappoint when winning by an impressive ten lengths. Afterwards winning trainer Yann-Marie Porzier said; “This filly was ready and has been schooling for a long time. I must give credit to Frédéric Ditta (winning jockey) who gave her a patient ride and didn’t make his move until after the last hurdle.”
Oyeryz was slowly away and made up ground gradually on the farside and encountered no problems in the final stages on her way to victory showing promise for the future of her career. Labeille (Laveron) took second place after leading for most of the race before jumping violently left at the last hurdle. She beat Theleze (Lavirco), who finished strongly, by 6 lengths.
Oyeryz will now be aimed at the Prix Georges de Talhouët-Roy (Gr2) and then the Prix Cambacérès (Gr1) according to her trainer. She was purchased by Fabrice Cohen at Saint Cloud in July 2009 for €6,000 (click here for catalogue page).
Jean Noiret – Smiles all round for Sourire aux Levres

Sourire aux Lèvres (AQ - Robin des Champs), half brother to the classy Rendons Grâce (Vidéo Rock), was successful on his first start over fences in the €50,000 Prix Jean Noiret Chase (4yo AQPS – 3600m). Guy Cherel’s charge took matters in hand and led from start to finish to pass the post two and a half lengths ahead of his nearest rival Sir Dream (AQ - Dream Well). A further five lengths behind in third place was Sur de Lui (AQ - Robin des Champs).
He is a natural jumper and not a flat horse like his brother was, commented owner-breeder Nicolas de Lageneste. “This was his first run in a chase and we had a few scares including at the water jump where he stepped off a bit. He is a horse who does a lot and will be better with experience.”
Bred by Haras de Saint-Voir, Sourire aux Lèvres is out of Ability (Olmeto) who has produced seven winners, including champions Rendons Grâce et Homme du Jour, from eight horses of racing age.
