Monday 15th February 2010, Pau. (www.leblogdeparisturf.com) Souy Beroy (Goldneyev) was successful in winning the €32,000 Prix de Maslacq Chase (AQPS-4yos-3,900m). "He was too keen at the front on his last runs, that is why we changed tactics today and held him up at the back of the field.” explained trainer Jean-Pierre Totain. “I will give him a break now and keep him for next winter.”

At the turn into the straight Souy Beroy didn’t look in with a chance of winning as he was a long way back in the field. However Sinamix Royal (Al Namix) and Stéphane Paillard looked to have the race sewn up when he fell at the last fence, injuring himself fatally.

William Knapp Thorn – Ouh La La on the mark once again

Ouh La La (Double Bed) added a sixth victory to his career total when winning the €32,000 Prix William Knapp Thorn Chase (5yo+ - 3,900m).
"This race was not his objective but it did feature on his programme”, explained winning trainer Frédéric Danloux. “He really enjoys himself here. He needs to be out on his own and his jockey rode him very well once again. He will try his hand at Auteuil, but he is generally more successful here at Pau, where he will come back to next winter."
Ouh La La has won 5 of his 9 starts here at Pau. This son of Double Bed was bought for €22,105 at the October Yearling Sales at Deauville in 2001.
