Thursday 14th January 2010, Pau.(www.leblogdeparisturf.com) The runners all finished very leg weary in the sticky ground in the final stages of the €30,000 Prix Yves Baradat Hurdle (5yos-3,500m). The winner, Clidan (Sassanian), was one of only a few unaffected by the state of the track and seemed to handle it well. This backward horse, who only debuted at Auteuil in October, is not yet fully mature. But he his more forward that his brothers who only obtained their wins over jumps at the age of 7, Dumesco and Karnag over cross country fences, Melcar over fences at Pau.
Laloubere - Radji springs surprise

Rhasodie des Sacar and Renard were at the head of the betting market for the €30,000 Prix de Laloubère Chase (AQPS – 3,900m). However it was Radji (Adnaa) who took the glory in the end. He came here after a fall in the Prix de San Sebastian-Donostia. This horse was bred for jumping, he is out of Sirta who won 7 races, including the Prix Général Donnio (L.) and the Prix Saint Sauveur (L.) at Auteuil. Araagon - Experience pays off for Recalcitrant
The €32,000 Prix de l'Aragon Chase (4yos-3,400m) was won by Récalcitrant (Equerry). The winner had the advantage of two previous runs over fences while second placed Crack Champbenoit (Myrakalu) was making his debut in this discipline. The full sister of Récalcitrant, Enigme, passed through the sales ring at the Arqana yearling sales in December, when she was purchased by Frédéric Sauque for €4,000 (click here for catalogue page).
