 The €29,000 Prix des Vestales (3yo Fillies – 1800m) was won by Dariyana (Medicean) in the hands of the young jockey Morgan Delalande for the Aga Khan colour’s. She beat the Olivier Peslier ridden Akrivi (Tobougg) beat two and a half lengths with the Wildenstein representative Adja (Rock of Gibraltar) a further length and a half behind in third.  

This was a first success for the Alain de Royer Dupre trained filly after finishing placed three times over distances varying from 2100m to 3000m. She is out of Darayka (Dr Fong) who won twice and finished placed three times from six starts. Dariyana is her first winner from three referenced offspring, she also has a 2 year old, Darroun (Dalakhani), in training with Alain de Royer Dupre.

 The Aga Khan’s famous green and red colours were back in the winners enclosure after the €13,000 Prix de Méléagre (3yo Maidens – 2400m) which was won by Shalangar (Red Ransom) for stable jockey Christophe Lemaire. Second place went to the Elie Lellouche trained filly Pepiniere (Sadler's Wells) two and a half lengths behind with Soul Friend (Galileo) a further three quarters of a length behind in third.

 

This was Shalangar’s third start after twice finishing third over 1900m on the fibresand and 1900m on turf. He is out of Shalamantika (Nashwan) making him a half brother to the Group 1 winner and Arc third Shalanaya (Lomitas).
