Run as a trial for the Prix Fille de l’Air (Gr3) which will take place on the same track on November 11th, the €52,000 Prix Panacée (L – 3yo+ Females – 2400m) was won by the 3 year old Vertana (Sinndar) who beat her elder Ma Préférence (American Post) by a neck.
Vertana is out of Verzasca (Sadler’s Wells), third placed in a Listed in Switzerland. Vertana is her first produce to acquire black type but her first foal, Valdorf (Highest Honor), was a successful handicapper in his time. Vertana was purchased for €90,000 by Paul Nataf at the Arqana Yearling Sales in August 2008.

The Jean-Claude Rouget trained Acapulco Gold (Azamour) was the one and a half length winner of the €27,000 Prix de Saint-Cyprien (3yos – 2,100m). Got Life (Red Ransom) took second place a length and a half ahead of Catmoves (Medicean).
The Martin Schwartz owned colt has now won three times, after a successful debut over 1500m on the fibresand and another in a handicap over 2100m, and placed twice on his seven starts. He is out of the American mare El Rabab (Roberto) and is her first winner in France. He was bought for €160,000 at the Saint Cloud Breeze Ups in May of last year.
