(www.agakhanstuds.com) On Saturday February 6th at 9.30pm, the French champion Zarkava gave birth to a filly foal by Dalakhani. Pat Downes, the Aga Khan’s manager in Ireland, who was present for the foaling described the foal as "a lovely individual that is correct, strong and full of quality. It was a straight forward foaling and Zarkava has proved herself to be a good mother. The Dalakhani filly is a good size for a first foal.” Zarkava is due to be covered this year by the star of 2009, Sea The Stars.
