For a few weeks now rumours have been circulating about the sale of Bon Grain (Muhtathir), Jean-Jacques Napoli’s stable star. « Bon Grain left us on Christmas Eve. After his win at Cagnes-sur-Mer, December 1st, we were approached and after many negotiations an agreement was reached,” announced the trainer. “He has gone to England to join the Godolphin stable. Apparently, it is possible that he might follow the programme I had envisaged for him this winter in Dubai. He will always be my favourite horse and I was heartbroken to see leave my yard for the last time.” As far as anyone can recall, he seems to be the first horse purchased from the South-East by Godolphin.
