Palace Episode (Machiavellian ex Palace Weekend by Seattle Dancer) has been retired to stud in 2010 and will stand at Haras du Logis Saint Germain, in Calvados, for his first season. He is the only Group 1 winning 2 year old son of “sire of sires” Machiavellian. Palace Episode won the Racing Post Trophy (Gr1), which occurred just days after he was withdrawn from the Tattersall’s Horses in Training Sales 2005, the Acomb Stakes (L.), finished 3rd in the Royal Lodge Stakes (Gr2) and the Belmont Kelso Handicap (Gr2). He defeated Group 1 winners such as Dylan Thomas, Araafa and Septimus. He is from the immediate female family of Blushing Groom. A brother of Palace Episode, by Pivotal, was bought for $300.000 at the Keeneland September Sales this year by John Ferguson (click here to see his catalogue page). Palace Episode will stand for €4.500, Live Foal 1st October.
