Full brother to Aquarelliste , winner of La Coupe (Gr3-2000m) before his export to the U.S, the 8 year old Artiste Royal (Danehill) will join the roster at Haras d’Etreham alongside Elusive City and Pommellato, two other new recruits for the stud of Marc de Chambure. Since leaving France to be trained by Neil Drysdale in California, the former Wildenstein representative has won twice in Group company, the Clement L Hirsch Memorial Turf Championship (Gr.1-2000m) on the turf at Santa Anita and the Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap (Gr1-2000m) on the Fibresand of Hollywood. He was also successful last January in a Group 2 at Santa Anita and has been placed in several Group 1s.
