Scoop_036935_584Juddmonte's 2007 Grand Prix de Paris (Gr1-2,400mT) winner Zambezi Sun (Gb-Dansili-Imbabala by Zafonic) will stand at Pascal Noue's Haras de la Hetraie in 2010.
Trained by Pascal Bary at his heyday in France, the tall (166cms, that is 16.3 hands) and handsome bay colt finished fourth in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr1-2,100mT) but proved much better on a mile and a half as he subsequently won the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris for his owner-breeder. Third in the Prix Niel (Gr2-2,400mT) for his Autumn return, he encountered a few setbacks later on but finished second in the Grand Prix de Chantilly (Gr2-2,400mT). Sent to Bobby Frankel in the USA in 2008, he failed to recover his Gr1-winner status over there and came back to France, where he will enter stud in Normandy.
