Mont Cenis – Princesse put off by frosty ground PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 10 March 2010 09:51
Tuesday March 9th - Enghien. Princesse D’Anjou (Nononito) should have been the attraction of the day at Enghien but unfortunately she was withdrawn before the start of the €48,000 Prix du Mont Cenis Hurdle (5yo+ - 3,800m) due to the state of the ground. She was not the only absentee in this race; only five went to post with four withdrawals in total prior to the start. However there were no complaints from Yannick Fouin as his representative, Roc de Sivola (Cadoudal), went on to score by 2 lengths from Wycherley (Thunder Gulch). Roc de Sivola has been a faithful servant to his connections, with four wins and five places from ten starts. His dam Miss Raho (Rahotep) won 9 races from a total of 46 starts; she also produced one of Yannick Fouin’s favourite horses, Hercule Noir (Rochesson) a Group 2 winner over fences.
